Day 1: Rome, Assisi, Siena, Florence
In the early morning, departure from Rome with Gran Turismo coach to Assisi. Visit at your own leisure, free time for lunch (not included). Departure for Siena, visit and departure to Florence. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and overnight,
Day 2: Florence
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the city and its main monuments. Lunch included. Free afternoon or optional visit to Pisa. Return to Florence. Dinner at leisure, overnight in Florence.
Day 3: Florence, Bologna, Padua, Venice (Mestre)*
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Bologna, visit of the city and its main monuments. Lunch at your own leisure. Continuation of the journey and visit of the city of Padua with its symbolic Basilica of San Antonio. Then, arrival in Venice Mestre*. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Venice
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by water-taxi to San Marco to visit the city. Free lunch and afternoon at your leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Venice Mestre*.
Day 5: Venice, Montepulciano (Tuscany wine regione), Rome
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by bus from Piazzale Roma to Val di Chiana in Tuscany. Stop in Montepulciano. Lunch in a typical restaurant included. In the evening, departure to Rome and check-in at the hotel (dinner not included).
Day 6: Rome
After breakfast, departure for the included tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica with exclusive "Skip the Line" access. After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day explore the city at your leisure. Dinner not cinluded. Overnight.
Day 7: Rome
After breakfast, spend the day discovering Rome on your own. Dinner not included. Overnight.
Day 8: Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento
After breakfast, departure by coach to Naples and short panoramic tour going up the hill of Vomero to enjoy a splendid view of the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia and Procida and the city below. Lunch included. Then, get to Pompeii and visit these famous Roman ruins. After the visit, you will go along the Sorrento coast, arriving in Sorrento for dinner (dress code: a jacket for men). Overnight .
Day 9: Sorrento, Capri, Sorrento
After breakfast, get ready for an exciting excursion to the island of Capri: depending on the weather and the sea, you can admire the Blue Grotto. Lunch included and then free time on the island following your own pace. Once back on the mainland, return to your hotel for dinner and your last night in Sorrento.
Day 10: Sorrento, Palermo (overnight on ferry boat)
Breakfast at the hotel, then spend the morning exploring Sorrento. In the afternoon, you will reach the port of Naples, where you will board the ferry to Palermo. Dinner and breakfast not included on the ferry.
Day 11: Palermo
Arrival in Palermo and transfer to the hotel. That night, dinner at the hotel and overnight.
Day 12: Palermo
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a morning excursion to Monreale: free time to visit the city. Return to Palermo and continue with a walking tour of the city. Enjoy free time in the late afternoon and return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Palermo, Erice, Saline della Laguna, Agrigento
Breakfast and departure for Erice, visit and continue to the Saline: have a nice boat trip, with a helpful audioguide, you will admire all the islands of the lagoon. Lunch included. Then travel to Agrigento: Visit the Valley of Temples (entrance included). Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Ragusa Ibla, Ragusa
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Piazza Armerina. Entrance in Villa Romana del Casale to admire the largest, richest and most complex Roman mosaics in the world. Depart to Ragusa and visit of the enchanting historical centre "Ibla", with its stunning baroque palaces and churches. Arrive in hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 15: Ragusa, Noto, Siracusa, Taormina
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Noto, a picturesque town popular for its Baroque architecture. Continue to Syracuse: visit the "Parco Archeologico della Neapolis", Syracuse's famous archaeological area. In the late afternoon, arrive in Taormina, check-in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 16: Taormina
After breakfast, head off to Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe and the highest mountain in Italy. If weather permits, you have a chance to climb to the summit (1800 m). Return to Taormina and spend the rest of your day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 17: Taormina
Last breakfast and finish of the tour.
