Things to know about Tuscany

There are so many reasons to visit Tuscany, the beautiful land nestled in central Italy. Who loves to travel and discover new sights all over the world should know that Tuscany is not just Florence (its capital): the essence of this region is contained also in the many small villages, often with a medieval heritage, which dot the surrounding landscape of rolling green hills.
Tuscany encompasses all the best that Italy has to offer: a thousand-year history, a rich culture, craft traditions handed down through generations and, last but not least, food and wine famous all over the world.
Tuscany is to discover, from its most important attractions to the lesser-known, yet equally fascinating, hidden treasures. For example, Pisa with its Leaning Tower is famous throughout the world, as well as the Chianti area, renowned for its wine tradition that has produced some of the finest wines in Italy. But Tuscany consists also in other magical sights, such as Siena, Lucca, Volterra, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Monteriggioni and San Gimignano: gems of art, culture and history that attract tourists from all over the world.
Visiting Tuscany means immersing yourself in a land rich in natural beauty and traditions, where the gastronomy plays a crucial role: it is impossible to remain unmoved in front of the delicacies and hospitality of the Tuscan cuisine. If you decide to have a trip in Tuscany, you will have only one certainty: this splendid land will offer you unforgettable experiences, making you fall in love.

All the places we visited and the nice lunch.

This tour into Tuscany was great and good value. The guides were very good and kept us informed of what we would see at each location before we got there. It was an excellent choice of locations to give us a taste of Tuscany ending in Siena where we had a good amount of free time to explore on our own. We also had a very nice lunch at a vineyard in the Chianti wine district. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was a surprise.

My two friends and I wanted to see more of Tuscany so we decided to book the tour going to Val d'Orcia region which included Pienza, Montelpulciano and Montaicino. We stopped at two wineries. One in Montalicino and one in Montepulciano. We got to taste some great wines and some very tasty olive oil. The scenery was amazing along the way. This tour was a surprise and I highly recommend it.
