Spend a special day touring Tuscany from Florence – acknowledged as one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. You'll visit three towns, each with their own wealth of cultural and artistic treasures to explore: Pisa, San Gimignano, and Siena, and enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch with wine.
Trying to take in Tuscany in one day is a nearly impossible feat, but this tour makes a good show of things; art, culture, history, cuisine, and of course wine are all featured, along with some of the regions' most famous sights.
The tour starts from Florence and begins early in the morning with a tour of the city of Pisa, home to the world-famous Leaning Tower.
You'll learn that Pisa has much more to offer than the Tower though, and will also visit their incredible Cathedral and Baptistery, along with the Monumental Cemetery.
Moving on, the tour proceeds to a vintner's estate nestled in the foothills of one of the most famous of all medieval hilltop villages – San Gimignano. You'll enjoy a delicious, hand-cooked Tuscan lunch and get to taste some of the most delicious wines made in the region, many vintages of which are famous throughout the world.
After lunch, you'll proceed down into the village proper, where you can marvel at the location once dubbed the 'City of Towers' in an era when everyone who was anyone was building them. You'll wind your way through the maze of cobbled streets and explore local artisan shops.
Leaving the City of Towers, you'll proceed through the Chianti countryside to Siena, where you will be met by our specialist guide for a tour of the Piazza del Campo and Cathedral.
Following this final stop, there will be time for coffee and a snack, as well as a bit of shopping should you so desire. Everything will conclude with a lovely ride back to Florence in the middle of a Tuscan sunset.
