Day 1: Rome - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento
The 5-days escorted tour will start from the Railway Station in Rome, where our local assistant will give you all the directions and information to take the high-speed- train to Naples. In Naples, you will meet the expert local guide that will be with you for the unforgettable experience of visiting Pompeii.
The ancient city of Pompeii was buried underneath ash and lava in 79 B.C.E. by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and it is now one o the most relevant archeological sites in the world. You will join a walking tour with an expert guide, exploring the intriguing archaeological excavations taking place and a glimpse of the ancient treasures unearthed from the ash.
After the visit, arrive at your hotel in Sorrento. Overnight (dinner not included).
Day 2: Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento
Eat breakfast at your hotel in Sorrento before catching the ferry to the famous Island of Capri. Once arrived at the Marina Grande, embark on an adventure on a boat trip around the island (option to visit Blue Grotto (weather and sea conditions permitting) with a supplement), to admire the enchanting sea caves and the coastline.
After, stroll through the alleys of the island reaching the famous Piazzetta, where you will feel the glam atmosphere of Capri. Next, travel to Anacapri, a high vantage point with equally stunning views. After that, return to the Marina Grande and sail back to your hotel in Sorrento. Overnight (dinner not included).
Day 3: Sorrento - Positano - Amalfi
After breakfast at your hotel in Sorrento, drive down the breathtaking Amalfi Coast until you arrive in Amalfi itself. On the route, you will stop in the beautiful Positano, where you will have around 2 hours at your disposal for a free visit, perhaps for some shopping or simply to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views. Lunch at your leisure (NOT included in the price of the tour).
Back on your coach, you will continue the route admiring the small fishing villages on the coast. Once you will get to Amalfi, you have a free day to do as you please in this splendid coastal town. Perhaps visit the center of Amalfi and glean some information about its past as the capital of an ancient maritime republic. Maybe wander the streets, taking in the breathtaking beauty of this historic city, which is itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Alternatively, head to the beach and take a dip in the marvelous Mediterranean Sea! Overnight (dinner not included).
Day 4: Amalfi
Eat an American-style buffet breakfast in your hotel, then enjoy another full free day in Amalfi. Lunch at your leisure (NOT included in the price of the tour).
Don't feel pressured to do everything in one day: now is a great time to do whatever you didn't get to yesterday! Swim in the blue water and relax on your private beach or walk through the streets of the city center, wandering around its little shops and discovering its pleasant perfumes. Day 5: Amalfi - Rome
After a buffet breakfast at the hotel in Amalfi, end your tour by spending the morning at leisure. Lunch at your leisure (NOT included in the price of the tour).
Meet in the early afternoon at your hotel in Amalfi and depart for Naples, where you will catch the high-speed train for Rome, with the help of our assistant at the Railway Station. Return to Rome by late afternoon.
