Pompeii
Once arrived in Pompeii, you will spend 2 hours at the famous excavated sites of Pompeii with an official guide that will explain you everything about this location and its history. You will see the well preserved forum, baths, houses, the villas, plaster casts of victims and various graffiti as well as the details of everyday life during the first century. Learn about the history of Pompeii since its existence.
Mount Vesuvius
After free time for lunch (NOT included in the price of the tour), the next destination will be the Mount Vesuvius, one of the one of the most picturesque hedged-in parks of the planet. You will be taken on a bus to the height of 1000m and then with another 30 minutes hike, you will be standing on the rim of Mount Vesuvius. Once on the rim, have a look at the spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples!
The Gulf of Naples
From the top of Mount Vesuvius, take in the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples! You will get to see the beautiful island of Capri, Ischia and Procida. As legend has it, Emperor Caligula built a bridge of boats across the bay and rode across in a chariot wearing Alexander the Great’s armour!
At the end of the visit, you will return to Positano.
