The historical town of Alberobello

Alberobello was once a forestry area that was filled with beautiful oaks and beech trees. Due to its fertile soil and agricultural landscape, soon it was used for agricultural activities and a little settlement began to appear.
During this 1.5-hour guided walking tour, your guide will re-hatch the history of how Alberobello was discovered and from whence the community came about. The ancient trulli of UNESCO valued

Trullo was first thought to have existed in the prehistoric time. However, the oldest trullo is in Alberobello, dating back to the 14th century. These white-washed cone-shaped roofs are a wonder to behold.
Its limestone construction has made these ancient houses a cool place to live in during the summer and provides heat during the winter time. As your guide shows you the construction techniques of a trullo, learn its status symbol.

Taste also a traditional product

Head towards the viewpoint, where you will have the chance to admire Aia piccola, Rione Monti areas, neighborhoods and the enchanting landscape of the trulli. Start from Aia Piccola, the most authentic area of Alberobello, then discover  Rione Monti and visit the Trullo Church of Sant'Antonio.
During this 1.5-hour guided walking tour, the inhabitants will welcome you by opening the doors of these typical round stone buildings. At the end of the visit, taste also a traditional product!
