Day trip to Pompeii and Amalfi Coast departing from Rome
Enjoy a full day at the ancient archaeological site of the Pompeii and the amazing Amalfi Coast, both of which are recognized both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will spend a special day away from Rome, discovering two of the most beautiful attractions of Italy.
Small group
The day trip to Amalfi Coast and Pompeii will depart dricetly from the centre of Rome, where you will join the group and depart with a luxury minibus. You will be traveling in style in a small tour group with a well-trained English speaking assistant. There will be water, coffee and refreshements available onboard.
Pompei archeological site
After this, your first stop would be the Pompeii archeological site: you will enter with your tickets included in the tour and then you will start a 2 hours walking tour with a professional guide. He will explain you everything about the history of the ancient Roman city. You will also visit the main areas in Pompeii, which includes; the food market (Macellum) and the Thermal Baths, an area Romans were known to have dinner and wine. It also doubled as the highbrow area for wealthy Romans.
Positano and Amalfi Coast
The next stop will then be the stunning Amalfi Coast, with its picturesque colorful houses sheltered on the hills. You will then stop in the most charming town of the Coast: Positano. Here you will have some free time to admire imposing monuments and the incredible sea view, and of course to stroll around the tiny streets to purchase famous Pottery pieces Amalfi and Positano are known for. Your tour guide will give you all information about the area. In Positano you will have also a gourmet lunche in the most charming restaurant, having the opportunity to taste the best local products, along with wine and limoncello!
At the end of the tour you will return to Rome by minivan and dropped off at your hotel, if located in the city centre.
