Genoa is the sixth largest city in Italy and its impressive landmark and rich cultural historical background has been inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. You will see the birthplace of Christopher Columbus in Piazza De Ferrari. A city that is rich in artistic history, you will find a lot of treasured paintings, mosaics, frescoes, sculptures and numerous tapestries in Genoa Cathedral, the Church of Gesu, and Church of San Donato. The famous Renaissance Basilica Santa Maria Assunta sits at the top of the hill and visible for everyone to see. We will pass by San Lorenzo Cathedral and the symbol of the city, Lanterna.
