Description: 

Day 1 – Catania:

Meet the tour leader and have dinner at the hotel in Catania.

Day 2 – Noto-Siracusa-Catania:

After breakfast, we head towards the town of Noto, famous for its exquisite architecture, to then drive to Siracusa, where you will have free time for lunch, followed by the discovery of the ancient Greek city of Neapolis, beautifully preserved, a tour of the archeological park and of the small island of Ortigia. Dinner and hotel in Catania.

Day 3 – Etna-Taormina-Catania:

You will discover Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe and a UNESCO wonder, walking along the inactive volcanic cones. Then you will visit a beekeeping farm, and taste delicious local products. The day continues with a tour of Taormina, and lunch in a traditional restaurant, where you will also watch a cooking show, followed with the visit of the Greek theatre and several crafts shops. Driving along the beautiful Riviera dei Ciclopi, we finally make our way to Catania. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 4 – Catania-Cefalù-Palermo:

After breakfast, you will begin this tour visiting the historical area of Catania, included in the UNESCO World Heritage. The tour will include the most interesting attractions, like the Cathedral, the Liotru Statue, University Square, Via dei Crociferi, Saint Benedict Monastery and others. After some free time for lunch, we will head towards Cefalù, where you will have free time to explore its treasures. Transfer to Palermo, where you will have dinner and accommodation in hotel.

Day 5 – Palermo-Monreale-Marsala:

After breakfast, you will discover Palermo, famous for attractions like the Arab-Norman Cathedral, Martorana Church, Pretoria Square and many others. After a quick lunch at a popular restaurant we will head to Monreale, to visit the immense Norman Cathedral, and then proceed to Marsala, where you will get to visit a winery and sample the delicious wine. Dinner and accommodation in hotel.

Day 6 – Marsala Salt Road-Selinunte-Agrigento:

The day will start with a trip along the Marsala Salt Road, admiring the salt mines and windmills, and the Mothia Island. Selinunte will follow, where you will visit the largest archeological park in the Mediterranean. The experience will continue with Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples area, the ruins of ancient Akragas. Dinner and accommodation in Agrigento hotel.

Day 7 – Agrigento-Piazza Armerina Ragusa-Catania:

The fifth day of this tour will begin with a visit to the Villa Romana del Casale, located in Piazza Armerina, and continue with Ragusa Ibla, one of the most beautiful baroque towns on the island and an UNESCO site. Moving to Catania, dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 8 - Catania

Breakfast in hotel and end of the tour.
