Visit the beautiful beaches in the South-west of Sardinia
The day trip will depart directly from your hotel in Cagliari, or from any other address you prefer within the city. You will comfortably travel aboard our mini-bus, along the highway 195 up to our first stop, the Tower of Chia.
With its stunning beaches and its promontory covered in Mediterranean vegetation, the Tower of Chia is one of the most beloved places along this Coast. You will have some free time to enjoy swimming in this magnificent location, where we will stay for about 40 minutes.
Swim in the renowned crystal clear sea of Sardinia
Later, we will continue to the famous beach of Su Giudeu - always located in the Chia area - for another wonderful stopover to enjoy its fascinating sand dunes and a picturesque bridge crossing a natural pond near the sea, which is home to the pink flamingos and other local bird species. Leaving Su Giudeu, we will head towards the Tower of Cala d'Ostia and we will stop to observe a sightseeing tower, after which the place is named. The tower is located on the headland of Cala d'Ostia, in the territory of the town of Pula, and it was built in 1773 to defend the river of “Rio de Pedras Fogu” and prevent attacks from the enemies.
Discover important historic sites in the South-west coast of Sardinia
On our way back to Cagliari we will stop at the lovely beach of Nora, which is also a really important historic location for the presence of the Phoenician / Roman ruins and the presence of the small, yet exquisite, church dedicate to Saint Efisio, the Patron Saint of Sardinia, who found martyrdom here in 303 DC. Your expert local guide will lead you to visit those ruins. Finally, we will reach the picturesque town of Pula, for a pleasant walk in the historic centre. Also, depending on the interest of the participants, there will be a shopping tour or a lunch/aperitif break on the beach.
