For those interested in spectacular sceneries and unspoilt countryside, the Ogliastra region is the place to go.
Rich in archaeological ruins of the Nuragic civilization, it is the Italian province with the lowest number of inhabitants. For this reason the natural landscapes, as well as the coasts, have been beautifully preserved from human contaminations.
But Ogliastra also offers splendid beaches rich in minerals that make them shine, and hidden coves to be discovered by sea or walking through lush Mediterranean scrubland. Among the most beautiful are certainly Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu and Cala Goloritze.
