Depart for 6 days from Rome to Milan and admire numerous churches, including the famous Dome of Florence, Cathedral of Siena, and the glorious Gothic Duomo in Milan. Visit Verona, the setting of Romeo and Juliet, and see renowned glass blowers in action on Murano Island. Glance out over the lovely glacial Lake Como and stop in Sirmione to see Garda Lake.
Day 1: Rome, Siena, Florence
Eat breakfast on your own, then meet at our office in Rome or arrange for us to pick you up at your centrally-located hotel. Board our comfortable coach and head toward the charming town of Siena, which is home to the famous Palio race. Explore the main attractions, such as the seagull-shaped Piazza del Campo or the magnificent Chatedral with artworks by Michelangelo and Donatello.
Free lunch in Siena and then, back on the bus continue to Florence. After teh check ina t the Hotel, you will have the free afternoon, before a welcome dinner in a local restaurant, eating an exquisite Tuscan meal. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Florence
Eat breakfast at the hotel, then take a guided tour through Florence, seeing firsthand why this lovely city is known as the "Cradle of the Renaissance". Tour Florence's most famous landmarks, including the Piazza del Duomo, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery of Saint John, and Santa Croce. Your expert guide will lead you to discover the main attractions, but also though the picturesque alleys of the city center, to breathe its charm.
After free time for lunch, your tour leader will introduce you to an authentic and historic side of Florence, the small artisan shops. You can visit one of the historic jewelers of Florence and admire a rich collection of goldsmith's art. You will walk through the stalls of the San Lorenzo market, where handicrafts and accessories in handcrafted leather are displayed. Finally, you will visit a particular perfume shop, where fragrances are produced using ancient methods and recipes of medieval friars.Free dinner and an overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Florence, Verona, Venice
Eat breakfast at the hotel, then leave for Venice on a comfortable coach bus. On the way, you will enjoy a pleasant stop in Verona. Here you can go discovering very famous monuments, such as the Arena di Verona, which is the heart of Italian opera music. You can then move to the colorful Piazza delle Erbe, walk the shopping street, without missing a picture from the famous balcony of Juliet.
After the visit, you will be back on the bus to reach Venice. Once in the incomparable city of love, follow your knowledgeable guide on a walking tour of the city's most famous monuments and landmarks. See Saint Mark's Square and the Basilica of Saint Mark, Doge's Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs. Listen as your guide shares the secrets of this fascinating city on the water. Eat dinner in a local restaurant and stay overnight at the hotel in Venice.
Day 4: Murano island
Eat breakfast at the hotel, then traverse the waterways of Venice by boat. Travel across the Lagoon, marvelling at the stunning islands while en route to the Island of Murano, famous for its glass blowing. Here, assist in a glass blowing demonstration and spend some time shopping for artisanal glass souvenirs. Back in Venice for a free afternoon, you can enjoy the city on your own. Free dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Venice, Sirmione, Lake Como, Milan
After an American-style buffet breakfast at the hotel, board the bus to visit Sirmione, a lovely town bordering Garda Lake. Here you will admire the famous Scaliger Castle and the picturesque alleys with breathtaking views on the Lage Garda.
Then, continue to Como Lake, one of the deepest lakes in Europe and a favourite destination of aristocrats since Roman times. Your tour leader will take you to the discovery of the Lake's beautiful landscape, surrounded by luxurious old villas and characteristic alleys with baroque churches and the majestic Cathedral.
After that, departure for Milan, where you will be welcomed by a panoramic tour of the city, which will include the main attractions and symbols of the city. You will have the chance to admire the Sforza Castle, the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery and the Duomo, the imposing gothic cathedral that dominates the city. Here the tour will end and you can head towards dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Milan, (Rome)
Eat breakfast at the hotel and then end of our services.
