You will meet your friendly tour guide at the Saint Mark's Square, the main square in Venice, and from there you will start the tour: walking through the picturesque alleys of the historic centre you will admire lots of beautiful monuments, such as the Doge’s Palace and the Campanile, among the most famous and photographed in the city, and you will learn a huge amount of art and history from your tour guide.
From here, the tour proceeds to the Castello district, an area in the north-east of the Saint Mark’s Square. The first stop will be at the church of Santa Maria Formosa, one of the most important religious monuments in the city. The next step will be at the Basilica of Saints John and Paul considered the Pantheon of Venice.

The walking tour includes other stops in the center of Venice, passing along the main points of interest such as the Marco Polo’s House and the Malibran Theatre, before returning to the Saint Mark's Square through the path of Mercerie, which is considered the main shopping street in Venice.
Then you are going to have about an hour and a half break, which you can use to relax or to explore the surrounding area. After that, you will enter the Saint Mark’s Basilica for the second part of the tour: thanks to your skip-the-line tickets you can enter the building avoiding long queues of tourists.

The first part of the tour starts at 9am and takes place entirely outdoors: all the monuments and attractions will be visited from the outside. The second part, starting at 12am, includes a guided tour to the interior of the Saint Mark's Basilica. Between the first and the second part there will be a pause of about an hour and a half.
We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes. In the summer, bring a bottle of water; in the winter, bring an umbrella.
Also, please remember to respect the mandatory dress-code to enter the churches in Venice, keeping your shoulders and knees covered. Backpacks and large bags are not allowed inside the Saint Mark's Basilica.
On some rare occasions, the Saint Mark's Basilica may be inaccessible due to private events or high water; in this case, the tour may be moved to the next day or completely refunded.
