The Captivating Shorelines of the Borromean Gulf
From Stresa, you will head towards the promenade to catch a glimpse of the captivating shorelines of the Borromean Gulf. You will gaze at the delightful landscape from the height of the promenade, giving you the best view of the villas. Here, art and nature are mixed together with huge parks surrounding the villas dotting the shore. The well-known Isola Bella
Soon after, you will be transferred to a guided visit on the island of Isola Bella by a taxi boat across Lake Maggiore. Here we will see the 16th-century Palace built by Charles Borromeo III for his wife, Isabella D’Adda. The island is named in honor of Isabella hence the island is called Isola Bella. Also, the Palace features wonderful baroque-styled ten-terraced gardens that are enriched with basins and beautifully carved fountains along with some statues.
Back to Stresa, you will enjoy a wine tasting with the local product at a historic wine store.
