Join this 5-Day Sicilian package visiting the picturesque and historical cities of Sicily in the province of Palermo and Trapani. You will travel from the famed Spanish Baroque city of Palermo to Monreale and the coastline of Trapani .

Day 1: Palermo

Welcome to Sicily! Indipendent arrival to Palermo the hotel (upon request and with an extra cost, it is possible to book a private transfer from the airport to the hotel: contact us for more information). Check-in, meeting with other participants. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Palermo – Corleone – Ficuzza – Palermo 

After breakfast, enjoy this special day dedicated to one of the famous social phenomena in Sicily: the Sicilian Mafia. Depart to the area of Corleone, in the inland, known for being the place where Mafia phenomena was born but also firmly fought.
There you will participate in a cooking class, learning how to prepare and cook traditional Sicilian dishes (only for who desires to participate to the cooking lesson). You will learn how to make some of the most genuine and well-famed Sicilian dish, of which you will enjoy at lunch.
After lunch, you will be shown the history of the Sicilian Mafia, an interesting lecture on the Mafia given by an English-speaking resident of Corleone, explaining the origins and how the inhabitants have taken to eliminate the organized crime. It will be a fascinating discussion. Back to Palermo. Overnight.

Day 3: Palermo - Monreale – Cefalù (optional) – Palermo

After breakfast, in the morning enjoy a group tour of Palermo: the first stop will be the splendid Quattro Canti (named Piazza Vigliena), meaning the Four Corners is the traditional center of the city. The famed Spanish Baroque square comprises of four Baroque architectural buildings with sculptures illustrating the Four Seasons, Spanish Kings and various patron saints.
Later, you will reach Monreale, situated on the Palatine Hill. It boasts amazing mosaics, which can be admired in the interior of the Cathedral, the most important example of Norman architecture in Sicily, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 2015.
The rest of the day will be at your leisure: take an optional excursion to the highly rated picturesque fishing village of Cefalù. Besides named as one of the best beaches in Sicily, this medieval village still retains the old charm of an ancient fishing port. In the evening, enjoy a typical dinner with delectable cuisine and sparkling in a local restaurant. Overnight.

Day 4: Palermo – Marsala – Salt Mills in Trapani – Palermo

After breakfast, start your day with a journey to the sea town of Marsala that was re-discovered by John Woodhouse, an English merchant. Since it is known for its sweet wines, you will visit a wine cellar and sample some Marsala wines thanks to a wine tasting session.
Then drive along the Trapani's coastline and enjoy a Sicilian lunch in a local restaurant. Along the coast from Marsala towards Trapani, you will have the possibility to admire the famous Salt Mills, shimmering heaps of white crystals, red roofed windmills and contained ponds grow in the horizon. Return to Palermo and have dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight.

Day 5: Palermo
