    Embark on an amazing escorted tour around Sicily. From Palermo to Taormina, for an unforgettable journey through the colors and the flavors of a land rich in culture, history, art and natural wonders.

    Day 1: Palermo

    Welcome to Sicily! Independent arrival at the hotel in Palermo (contact us to book a transfer from the airport - extra cost, not included in the price of the tour). Dinner and overnight.

    Day 2: Erice - Marsala (visit of a winery) - Salt Route - Palermo

    After breakfast, depart to the medieval village of Erice, placed atop a mountain overlooking the city of Trapani and the Aegadian Islands. Continue to Marsala for a stop at a winery for a guided tour of the historic Wine Cellars: tasting of wines with local food pairings.
    Returning to Palermo, you will enjoy a panoramic tour to the famous "Salt Road" in Trapani area, as you will admire the windmills and the basins for salt picking. Overnight at the hotel (dinner NOT included).

    Day 3: Cefalù - Nebrodi Park - Taormina

    After breakfast, you will depart for the coastal town of Cefalù, old fishing village, where you will reach the Cathedral, built in Arab-Norman style. With a stroll through the city center you will have the opportunity to admire the medieval wash-house, carved in the rock. Next, you will reach the Nebrodi Park, where you will have lunch with a typical menu with local dishes.
    After that, you will continue your trip towards Cesarò and Randazzo, visiting the Northern area of the park, famous for its breathtaking natural landscapes. At the end of the day, you will reach Taormina for dinner and overnight. 

    Day 4: Mount Etna (optional) - Taormina

    After breakfast, you can choose to spend your morning with some free time or with an optional excursion to the Mount Etna (weather conditions permitting; supplement to be paid on the spot; the excursion will take place with a minimum of participants), to admire the highest active volcano in Europe. Reaching the top it, from a height of about 1,900 meters, you can enjoy magnificent views on the Gulf and the Ionian Sea. Free time for lunch on your own (NOT included). 
    In the afternoon you will visit Taormina, the small medieval town founded on the seafront and called, not surprisingly, the "Pearl of the Ionian Sea". Here you will have the opportunity to enjoy some free time that you can use for shopping, for continuing your exploration of the coastal town or for visiting the famous Greek-Roman theatre. In conclusion, you will return to the hotel for a farewell dinner and overnight.

    Day 5: Taormina

    Breakfast at the hotel in Taormina and end of the tour (contact us to book a transfer to the airport - extra cost, not included in the price of the tour).
