Discover the rich culinary traditions of Sardinia with this fun-filled cooking lesson in the centre of Cagliari. Accompanied by a professional Chef, you will first visit the San Benedetto Market to buy all the genuine ingredients, and after the cooking lesson you will taste what you have prepared!
Our fun-filled cooking class in Cagliari is undoubtedly the most enjoyable way to learn more about the rich Sardinian culinary traditions. Under the expert guidance of a local Chef, you will have the opportunity to cook yourself some of the most representative Sardinian recipes!
You will meet your friendly Chef in front of the San Benedetto Market, in the centre of Cagliari, one of the biggest and most lively Italian covered markets. Browsing this excellent food market, guided by the Chef, you will choose the best ingredients for your cooking class.
Once you will have the ingredients, you will move to a nearby location to start the cooking class: you will learn how to present the dishes beautifully, using only genuine ingredients and selecting the right wine for each dish.
Lessons can focus on meat, fish, fresh Sardinian pasta making or vegetable dishes, depending on your preferences! The dishes you’ll prepare will also depend on the seasonal produce and best ingredients available on the day. You will also have the opportunity to use ancient Sardinian cooking tools and pots, following ancient traditional recipes handed down from generation to generation.
At the end of the cooking lesson you will enjoy a delicious meal all together, tasting the dishes you cooked with the Chef, accompanied by a good glass of wine.
Also, you will receive a souvenir sheet, with all the recipes of the dishes you have cooked and tips on how to reproduce them at home.
Meet your instructor at San Benedetto Market where you will take a tour and choose the ingredients for your course.
After about an hour you will go to a nearby venue or to your accommodation to start the course, which will end with a delicious meal.
Meeting point information and local telephone numbers at your destination are included on your Confirmation Voucher.
Starting and ending times will be agreed together with your Chef.
On Sunday, the activity will not include the tour of the San Benedetto Market, as it is closed on that day.
Please inform us if you have any kind of food allergies, dietary restrictions, or other special requirements, so that we can advise the Chef accordingly.
Upon request, the cooking lesson can be held in other locations provided by the customer (as long as located within an hour's drive from Cagliari).
