Join this one-day tour in Rome, in the Vatican City. It is a unique experience that combines spirituality and love for art and history: in one day you will live unforgettable emotions such as attending the papal audience and admiring the Sistine Chapel and many more masterpieces.
This one-day tour will allow you to attend Pope Francis's Wednesday audience. Since his election, in fact, these moments have become very lively. The guide will lead you to St. Peter's Square, where you will wait for the moment when Pope Francis will present himself to the crowd and, from the stage, he will begin the audience and blessings in all languages. Please note that tickets to attend the audience are free, but we will take care of their reservation, so you will be free from worries of any kind but just ready to enjoy the day. The audience usually starts at 10.30 am and in spring, summer and part of autumn, if the weather allows it, it is held outdoors, in Piazza San Pietro in order to accommodate a large amount of public.
Lunch and Vatican Museums
After the thrill of having attended the papal audience, this one-day tour will also give you the chance to enter the Vatican! After a stop at the restaurant nearby where you can enjoy an excellent Roman lunch (drinks excluded)*, the guide will lead you to the Vatican Museums, accessing with skip the line tickets. Here you can stroll in the Pio Clementino rooms where the Laocoon and the Apollo Belvedere are kept, which are unique pieces all over the world. The last stop of this one-day tour in Rome will be the St. Peter's Basilica, where you can admire the Pietà sculpted by Michelangelo, the baldachin, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, which overlooks the high altar and the famous Bernini' s colonnade surrounding the Basilica.
*Inform us in advance of any food intolerance or allergy for the lunch available untill March 31st 2020. From April 1st lunch will be NO LONGER included: you will have free time to lunch on your own; then you will reach independently the meeting point (to be announced the day of the tour by the guide).
Last, but certainly not least, you will visit the most famous masterpiece inside the Vatican Musems! In fact, the Vatican visit also includes admission to the wonderful Sistine Chapel where you can admire the majesty of the Last Judgment painted by Michelangelo and the magnificence of the painting that reproduces the Creation of Adam. To access the Audience Hall and St. Peter's Basilica you must have your knees and shoulders covered. Depending on the Vatican, the Papal Audience could take place in St. Peter's Square or in the Nervi Hall. The Papal Audience could be cancelled due to the Pope's schedule. Seats at the Audience are limited and NOT guaranteed. The access to the Basilica cannot be possible in case of extraordinary religious events.
