This group tour will lead you through the Colosseum and other important monuments and landmarks of Ancient Rome, such as the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. You'll explore numerous temples, visit the notable Imperial Forums, and of course marvel at the world-famous Colosseum.
Immerse yourself 3,000 years of rich Roman history. This tour's group size will ensure that you don't get lost in the crowd while enjoying the major monuments and must-see landmarks of the Eternal City, including the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Don't worry about logistics - we'll pick you up at your hotel and provide skip-the-line tickets to each point of interest!
Your tour will begin at the Colosseum, the historical giant which tops the list of ancient Rome's most important architectural sites. Finished in 80 AD, this monumental structure held various public spectacles and bore witness to the infamous gladiator contests. The largest amphitheatre in the world, the Colosseum remains one of the Roman Empire's finest architectural achievements.
Following the Colosseum, you'll visit the Roman Forum. The center of public life in Ancient Rome, the Forum housed many of the most important structures of the ancient city. Your expert guide will hone your knowledge of the history and formation of the Ancient Roman Republic while you stand among the sprawling ruins.
Continuing on, your guide will continue departing expert knowledge as you pass under several well-known arches. First, you will pass through the arch which has inspired other triumphal arches worldwide, the Arch of Titus.
Continuing our journey, we'll pass under another famous archway. The Arch of Septimus Severus, which stands at the foot of Capitoline Hill, is home to Rome's city hall. Known as Campidoglio in Italian, Capitoline is one of the seven hills on which Rome was founded.
