Start at the Colosseum, the iconic Roman amphitheater

Your tour will begin at the Colosseum, the historical giant which tops the list of ancient Rome's most important architectural sites. Finished in 80 AD, this monumental structure held various public spectacles and bore witness to the infamous gladiator contests. The largest amphitheater in the world, the Colosseum remains one of the Roman Empire's finest architectural achievements.

Visit the Roman Forum, center of political life in Ancient Rome

Following the Colosseum, you'll visit the Roman Forum. The center of public life in Ancient Rome, the Forum housed many of the most important structures of the ancient city. Your expert guide will hone your knowledge of the history and formation of the Ancient Roman Republic while you stand among the sprawling ruins.

Visit the Palatine Hill and more Ancient Rome attractions

Continuing on, your guide will continue departing expert knowledge as you pass under several well-known arches. First, you will pass through the arch which has inspired other triumphal arches worldwide, the Arch of Titus
Continuing our journey, we'll pass under another famous archway. The Arch of Septimus Severus, which stands at the foot of Capitoline Hill, is home to Rome's city hall. Known as Campidoglio in Italian, Capitoline is one of the seven hills on which Rome was founded.

Colosseum and the Forum Tour

We had a fantastic tour with our guide around the Colosseum, he is so knowledgeable about his subject and loves his work that he makes the tour, he manages to keep the whole tour together, not so easy with about 30 people trailing thru such busy places. Tour was great, thanks !
