After breakfast on your own, meet at our office in Rome or arrange for us to pick you up at your centrally-located hotel. Board the bus and start towards the mystical walled town of Assisi.
Once in Assisi, visit the Basilica of Saint Francis, named after the saint who was born here. This impressive basilica is adorned with artistic masterpieces by the likes of Giotto and Cimabue from the early Renaissance era.
Proceed toward Siena, where you will have lunch and tour the marvellous medieval city. Listen as your experienced guide recounts the stories of Siena, highlighting the famous Palio horse races that take place there. Back on the bus, continue to Florence, where you will be served an exquisite Tuscan meal at the hotel and rest up for another day of adventures.
After an American-style buffet breakfast at the hotel, follow your guide on a sightseeing tour through Florence and see firsthand why this splendid city is often called the "Cradle of the Renaissance".
Tour Florence's most famous landmarks, including the Piazza del Duomo, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery of Saint John, and last but not least, Santa Croce, a Franciscan Church from the 13th century containing Cimabue's crucifix.
The rest of the day is yours to spend however your heart desires in one of Italy's greatest cities. Find a delicious place for a local lunch, then perhaps stroll through the streets of Florence, browsing the quaint shops. We also recommend spending the afternoon in the nearby Pisa, to see the world-famous Leaning Tower. Meet again for a delicious dinner, included in the tour, at a local restaurant.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Venice on a comfortable coach bus. To break up the ride, stop in the picturesque town of Padua, where you will spot Donatello's masterpiece Gattamelata and the famous Cathedral of Saint Anthony. Grab a bite to eat here before resuming the ride to Venice.
