Day 1: Genoa, Rapallo, Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Genoa Port
In the early morning of the first day of your Tour of Sardinia, you will leave Genoa and head to the coast in Rapallo, to admire one of the most peculiar coastlines of Italy: the Ligurian Riviera. You will have time to stroll around the picturesque streets of Camogli and then in Portofino and its famous “Piazzetta”, where you will be able to take numerous pictures of the yachts that fill the water. Finally, stop in Santa Margherita, a famous seaside city of Riviera di Levante (Eastern Riviera), located in the Tigullio Gulf and free time for lunch. Return to Genoa to have free time in the old town until the time necessary to get on the ship to Sardinia, Porto Torres. Overnight in first-class inside a cabin. Night on the boat.
Day 2: Olbia, Maddalena, and Caprera, Palau
Arrival in Olbia at 8:30 am approximately. Leaving to Palau for a short break in order to let the luggage at the hotel. Departure to the islands Maddalena and Caprera. You'll find not only beaches and fun but also culture and history. Many cultural events depend on the presence of personality of the past, like Giuseppe Garibaldi, to which a museum is dedicated. Free time for lunch. Return to Palau, rest of the day on your own. Accommodation.
Day 3: Palau, Costa Smeralda, Palau
After the breakfast at the Hotel, you will head to one of the most famous coasts in the world: the Emerald Coast, stopping in the city of Arzachena. This area is famous for its natural beauty but also for a very vibrant nightlife: the rich nature and the peculiar beach structures made it one of the most popular areas of Sardinia, which, especially during summer, becomes a cool destination also because of it city clubs. You will have free time to spend in one of the best beaches of the island. Free time for lunch. Back to Palau. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Palau, Stintino, Capocaccia, Alghero
Breakfast at the hotel. Leaving to Stintino, a village famous for its beautiful beaches in front of Island Asinara. Later, route to Capocaccia, West tip of the wonderful Porto Conte Bay. The tour stops in a panoramic spot to take pictures of the most beautiful local bays with caves and small beaches. Here, we invite you to taste one of the typical local cakes: biscuits, candies or cheesecake. Free time for lunch. Arrival in Alghero, tourist place situated on a promontory surrounded everywhere by large beaches. Accommodation at the hotel. Visit of the city center and free afternoon for personal visits. Day 5: Alghero, Castelsardo, Santa Teresa, Olbia
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Castelsardo. Old and wonderful village, it presents a clear track of Genoa dominion. Its coast, its local manufacturing, its receptive structures make it one of the most required places on the island for the summer holidays. Then, departure to Santa Teresa. This place is the symbol of a fusion between nature and modern, tourism and wild area, representing a cult itinerary for thousands of tourists. Its promontory seems a huge cathedral, imposing and strict, and rises in front of the famous white Sardinian rocks, creating several strange shapes in one of the most evocative seaside places of the world, the so-called Strait of Bonifacio. Free time for lunch. Here, we invite you to taste the Mirto, the typical local liqueur made by Myrtle. Transfer to Olbia to get on the boat that leaves at 8:30 pm to Genoa. Overnight on board.
Day 6: Genoa
Get off in Genoa early in the morning. Transfer to your hotel, station or airport, depending on your needs. End of services.
