Guided tour of Sicily: visit Palermo, Catania, Agrigento and more

Visit the highlights of Sicily, the Mediterranean's largest island in this 5 day escorted tour of Sicily: Palermo, Agrigento and Catania among others, as well as a host of natural attractions! The tour is a round trip of the island, starting in Palermo and ending in Catania.

Day 1: Palermo

Independent arrival in Palermo. If you need a private transfer from the airport, contact us for a personalized quotation. Check-in and meet the other guests taking part to the tour. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Palermo – Monreale – Palermo

After breakfast at the hotel, head to the pretty town of Monreale. After seeing its famous cloisters and mosaics, you will go back to Palermo to discover the main attractions of this baroque city: admire the Cathedral and the Palatine Chapel, which is part of the Royal Palace. Join also a panoramic tour of the historical city centre! Then enjoy your lunch (included) and your free time in the afternoon, to explore the city on your own. As an alternative, you can choose an optional tour to the charming village of Erice (NOT included in the tour, the extra cost has to be paid on the spot). Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Palermo.

Day 3: Palermo – Segesta – Trapani – Agrigento

After breakfast, admire excellent views of the landscape surrounding Segesta, famous for the Doric Temple! Continue to the western part of Sicily for the panoramic tour of Trapani with its salt pans. Visit the salt pans surrounded by mills, used for the extraction of the famous salt of Trapani. Join a traditional lunch at a farmhouse, with olive oil tasting. Then, depart to Agrigento and eXPerience the visit of the Valley of the Temples, where you will admire the imposing Greek Temple, among the best preserved in the world. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Agrigento – Piazza Armerina – Catania

After breakfast, head to Piazza Armerina, in order to visit Villa Romana del Casale, famous for its huge area of well-preserved Roman mosaics. After the visit, lunch in a local restaurant and, in the afternoon, departure to Catania, Sicily's second biggest city. Here, there will be also time for a tasty break, before admiring the city ona great panoramic tour. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Catania.

Day 5: Catania
