Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, is a dream destination to experience an authentic Italian vacation. Dig into the Sicilian’s flavourful and spicy cuisines, marvel at the majestic architecture and breathe in the vibrant culture. Holidays in Sicily cannot get any better.

Day 1 – Palermo

Upon arrival at Palermo-Punta Raisi International Airport, reach your hotel in the city center. Check in and spend the day at leisure. We recommend indulging in some delectable Sicilian specialities and delightful cakes. Overnight stay in Palermo.

Day 2 – Palermo, Monreale

After breakfast, we will head off to visit the iconic monuments in Palermo and Monreale. Sicily’s main city, Palermo attained its peak and prominence after the Norman Conquest. To gain an understanding of this magnificently dishevelled city, we will be visiting The Cathedral, St. John of Hermits, Norman Palace, Palatine Chapel.
After Palermo, we will discover the beauty of Monreale with its elegant Cathedral and 12th century Benedictine Cloister. Rest of the afternoon at leisure and before we head back to retiring for the night at Palermo.

Day 3 – Palermo, Cefalù

After breakfast, we will depart for an off-the-beaten-track tour of Palermo. Discover the strange and macabre mummies at the Capuchins’ Catacombs. After which, we will take a leisure stroll through the traditional outdoor market nearby.
Journey towards Cefalù, a small town perched on a rocky promontory. This village was the favourite residence of the famous Norman King Roger II who commissioned the monumental Cathedral with the finest Byzantine mosaics in the world. Wander along in the characteristic narrow streets of the city at leisure before returning to the hotel in Palermo for an overnight stay.

Day 4 – Palermo – Segesta, Erice, Trapani

We will depart for Segesta after breakfast. Embark on an excursion around the old town, visit the grand Doric temple held by 36 columns and the alluring Greek Theatre.
Next up, we will head towards the medieval city of Erice, which is perched on an imposing hill and renowned for “Ettore Maiorana”, its scientific cultural centre. Visit the historical bell tower “Matrice”, the great Normal Castle “Balio” and the fascinating Venus Castle. We will then go for a panoramic tour of Trapani with ample photography opportunities. Spend the night at Trapani.

Day 5 – Trapani, Selinunte, Agrigento

We will make our way towards Selinunte after breakfast to marvel at the Acropolis, that is not only one of the largest archaeological parks in Europe, but also one of the most fascinating, with its enchanting temples, and the remnants of the Greek and Phoenician’s Punic civilization. we will then head to Agrigento, to get the chance to be intrigued by the “Valle dei Templi” (Valley of the Temples). Overnight stay in Agrigento.

Day 6 – Agrigento, Taormina

After breakfast, depart towards the east coast for Taormina. During the tour, we will make a few scenic stops to unwind and marvel at the picturesque view of the Ionian coast and its calm sea. Check into your hotel in Taormina and head off for a private city tour. Overnight stay in Taormina. 

Days 7 – Taormina

Spend the day at leisure as you tour around the resort town or simply chill on the beautiful beach. Situated at approximately 200m above sea level, Taormina gives the impression of a terrace with the boundless Ionian Sea and Mount Etna as a stunning backdrop. This alluring town is characterized by its charming culture and natural beauty and has always been a top-choice destination for celebrities and prominent figures. Visit the fascinating estate Tenuta San Michele in Santa Venerina owned by the family of Baron Scamacca del Murgo. Enjoy the scenic drive along the tranquil Sicilian countryside on your way. The estate consists of 26 hectares of vineyards producing wine, oil, honey and jams. Visitors will be warmly invited to a tour of the cellar followed by a cozy tasting session of their produce.

Day 8 – Departure

Check out and depart to Catania International Airport for your return flight.
