Day 1: Catania
Arrive independently to the hotel in the charming city of Catania (contact us for an optional private transfer from the airport). In the evening you will meet your tour-leader and your travel companions. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Syracuse - Noto
After breakfast at the hotel, the first stop will be Syracuse, discovering the ancient Greek roots of Sicily in the Archaeologic Park of Neapolis, with its Greek theatre and Roma Amphiteatre.
You will continue visiting the small island of Ortigia, the historic centre of Syracuse, known for its elegence and the magnificent Cathedral.
After free time for lunch (NOT included), you will geat to Noto, a gem of Sicilian baroque art, full of elegant buldings and ornaments. Return to Catania for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Etna-Taormina
After breakfast, you will discover the Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe and a UNESCO wonder, walking along the inactive volcanic cones. Then you will visit a beekeeping farm, and taste delicious local products.
The day continues with a tour of the charming Taormina: it will start with a lunch in a traditional restaurant, where you will also watch a cooking show, followed by the visit of the Greek theatre where you will admire the awesome panorama on the Naxos Gulf.
Before leaving you will have some free time for shopping in the city centre. Driving along the beautiful Riviera dei Ciclopi, we finally make our way to Catania. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Catania-Cefalù
After breakfast, you will begin this tour visiting the historical area of Catania, included in the UNESCO World Heritage. The tour will include the most interesting attractions, like the Cathedral, the Liotru Statue, University Square, Via dei Crociferi, Saint Benedict Monastery or the traditional fish markets.
Free time for lunch (NOT included) and join a stop in a typical bar to have a broche with granita. The next stop will then be Cefalù, a picturesque sea village, also known for its splendid Norman Dome. You will have free time to visit the city, before leaving for Palermo. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Monreale - Palermo
After breakfast, you will head to Monreale, to visit the immense Arab - Norman Cathedral, with its stunning cloister. The next stop will be visit of the centre of Palermo, famous for attractions like the Arab-Norman Cathedral, Martorana Church, Pretoria Square and many others.
A few of the treasures include preserved monuments, the Palatine Chapel, and the Fountain Square Pretoria. You will also have a stop for a food surprise in a local bakery. After free time for lunch (NOT included), keep visiting the city centre. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 6: Marsala - Salt Road - Agrigento
After breakfast, join a visit of Marsala and a trip along the Marsala Salt Road, admiring the salt mines and windmills, and the Stagnone Island. Here you will join the visit of a wine cellar (wine tasting and lunch will be included).
Your eXPerience will continue with Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples area, the ruins of ancient Akragas. Dinner and accommodation in Agrigento hotel.
Day 7: Piazza Armerina - Ragusa Ibla - Catania
After breakfast, the tour will begin with a visit to Piazza Armerina, a nice charming village, where you will have a tour inside the Villa Romana del Casale, world famous for its impressive Roman mosaics.
After free time for lunch (NOT included), continue to Ragusa Ibla, one of the most beautiful baroque towns on the island and an UNESCO site, hosting more than 50 churches and a lot of baroque architecture. You will enjoy a tasting of local products. Return to Catania, dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Catania
After breakfast, end of the tour (contact us for an optional private transfer to the airport).
