Description: 

Day 1 – Catania:

Meet the tour leader and have dinner at the hotel in Catania.

Day 2 – Siracusa - Noto - Catania:

After breakfast, at the Hotel, the first stop will be Siracusa, discovering the ancient Greek roots of Sicily in the Archaeologic Park of Neapolis, with its Greek theatre and Roma Amphiteatre. We will continue visiting the small island of Ortigia, the historic centre of Siracusa, known for its elegence and the magnificent Cathedral.  After free time for lunch, we will geat to Noto, a gem of Sicilian baroque art, full of elegant buldings and ornaments. Return to Cantania for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Etna-Taormina-Catania:

In the morning you will discover the Mount Etna, the tallest active volcano in Europe and a UNESCO wonder, walking along the inactive volcanic cones. Then you will visit a beekeeping farm, and taste delicious local products. The day continues with a tour of the charming Taormina: it will start with a lunch in a traditional restaurant, where you will also watch a cooking show, followed by the visit of the Greek theatre where you will admire the awesome panorama on the Naxos Gulf. Before leaving you will have some free time for shopping in the city centre. Driving along the beautiful Riviera dei Ciclopi, we finally make our way to Catania. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 4 – Catania-Cefalù-Palermo:

After breakfast, you will begin this tour visiting the historical area of Catania, included in the UNESCO World Heritage. The tour will include the most interesting attractions, like the Cathedral, the Liotru Statue, University Square, Via dei Crociferi, Saint Benedict Monastery or the traditional fish markets. Free time for lunch and before leaving, a stop in a typical bar to have a broche with granita. The next stop will then be Cefalù, apicturesque sea village, also known for its splendid Norman Dome. You will have free time to visit the city, before leaving for Palermo, where you will have dinner and accommodation in hotel.

Day 5 – Monreale - Palermo - Marsala:

After breakfast, we will head to Monreale, to visit the immense Arab - Norman Cathedral, with its stunning cloister. The next stop will be  visit of the centre of Palermo, famous for attractions like the Arab-Norman Cathedral, Martorana Church, Pretoria Square and many others. Along the visit there will also be a food surprise in the well-known Focacceria di San Francesco an free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will proceed to Marsala, where you will get to visit a winery and sample the delicious wine. Dinner and accommodation in hotel in Marsala.

Day 6 – Marsala Salt Road-Selinunte-Agrigento:

The day will start with a visit of Marsala and a  trip along the Marsala Salt Road, admiring the salt mines and windmills, and the Stagnone Island. Selinunte will follow, where you will visit the largest archeological park in the Mediterranean. After free time for lunch, the experience will continue with Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples area, the ruins of ancient Akragas. Dinner and accommodation in Agrigento hotel.

Day 7 – Agrigento-Piazza Armerina Ragusa-Catania:

The seventh day of this tour will begin with a visit to Piazza Armerina, a nice charming village, where we will have a tour inside the Villa Romana del Casale, world famous for its impressive Roman mosaics. After free time for lunch, we will continue to Ragusa Ibla, one of the most beautiful baroque towns on the island and an UNESCO site, hosting more than 50 churches and a lot of baroque architecture. Before returning in Catania, you will enjoy a tasting of local products. Moving to Catania, dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 8 - Catania

Breakfast in hotel and end of the tour.
