With this amazing 7 days escorted tour of Sicily, departing from Catania, you will have the opportunity to live a unique experience around the island, discovering all its greatest destinations.

Day 1: Catania

Meeting in Catania, with a welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Catania - Siracusa - Noto - Catania

After a buffet breakfast, depart to Syracuse to visit the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily. Visit of the archaeological park "Neapolis", including the famous Latomie of the Paradise, the Greek Theatre and the Dyonisios "Ear". Visit the island of Ortigia, the small baroque old city centre of Siracusa. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to Noto, one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily renowned for its Baroque style and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Dinner and overnight in Catania.

Day 3: Catania - Mount Etna - Taormina - Catania

After breakfast, you will depart for a trip to Mount Etna: through the fascinating landscape of the highest active volcano in Europe, you will reach a height of about 1,900 meters. After lunch in a local restaurant on Mt. Etna (or Taormina in low season), on the way to Taormina, stop to the village of Zafferana Etnea, "the City of Honey", to visit a beautiful place where they produce honey and you can taste the precious nectar made by skilled hands. Then, we will continue to Taormina, a town founded on the sea front and called, not surprisingly, the "Pearl of the Ionian Sea". Here, you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Greek-Roman Theatre. At the end, you will return to Catania for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Catania - Piazza Armerina - Agrigento

After breakfast, you will depart for Piazza Armerina to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, which houses the largest collection of late-Roman mosaics in the world, declared UNESCO heritage site. After lunch, we will move to Agrigento. In the afternoon, you will visit the Valley of the Temples, an important archaeological site is characterized by the exceptional state of preservation of its temples, including the Temple of Concord. At the end, you will have dinner and hotel accommodation in Agrigento.

Day 5: Agrigento - Selinunte - Erice* - Palermo

After breakfast, you will reach the archaeological park of Selinunte, the largest in the Mediterranean. For lunch, we will move to a local farm, famous for the production of olive-oil, which you will have the chance to taste. In the afternoon, we will continue to the medieval village of Erice*, on the top of Mount San Giuliano. Then, we will continue to Palermo for the accommodation in a downtown hotel, where you will have dinner and overnight.
*in case of adverse weather conditions the visit of Erice will be replaced by Segesta.

Day 6: Palermo - Monreale - Palermo

After breakfast, you will depart to Monreale where you will admire the Cathedral, with its famous Byzantine mosaics and the cloister of the Benedictines. You will continue with a panoramic tour of the historic center of Palermo, passing through the Quattro Canti, the Opera House and Piazza Pretoria. Lunch at the hotel. Free afternoon or excursion (optional) to the Mount Pellegrino, the most famous mountain in Palermo, where you will visit the shrine of Santa Rosalia, venerated saint of the city. From here, you can admire the Conca d'Oro, the vast plain on which lies Palermo.  At the end of the day, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Palermo
