The Shakespeare Verona
Verona is famous for its three Shakespearean plays were set in Verona. The northern Veneto region of Italy is rich in its artistic heritage hosting several annual fairs, shows and operas in the ancient Roman amphitheater: Verona Arena. The city is full of Roman edifices although much of it is built over the artifacts. The Piazza Bra is where the famous Verona Arena is. It is considered to be the largest piazza of Verona. Other Roman monuments can be found such as the Roman Theater of Verona, The Arco dei Gavi, Piazza delle Erbe, Porta Borsari and Porta Leoni and the Roman road Via Sacra. The Piazza dei Signori featuring Palazzo Domus Nova and the La Casa Pieta shines forth in the night. The Romanesque styled San Zeno Basilica is built with alternating layers of white stones and bricks. There holds the famous Dante’s scene of Purgatory in the Divine Comedy.
