A 12 days tour to discover the magic of the South of Italy departing from Rome: an unforgettable experience that will take you to Pompeii, Palermo, Agrigento and many jems off the beaten path.
You will reach the hotel in Rome independently, taking your time to explore the city and getting ready to the tour.
After breakfast in hotel, it's time to leave for the magic South of Italy. The first stop will be in Naples, where you will have the chance to enjoy a panoramic tour up to the Vomero, a district located on hilltop of the city: from there you will admire a breathtaking view on the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius.
After a nice walk and a lunch in a panoramic hotel in Ercolano, you will join a guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii: accessing with skip the line tickets, you will learn everything about the ancient history of the archaelogical site, destroyed by the great Vesuvius eruption in 79 d.c.
The overnight will be in Hotel in Sorrento, with dinner included (dress code for man: suit required)
After breakfast at Hotel you will have free time to visit Sorrento and surroundigs, have shopping and take beautiful pictures. For instance it would be nice to spend the day in the island of Capri, joining one of our day excursions departing from SOrrento. Please contact us for more information.

After breakfast you will have some free time in Sorrento. In the afternoon, you will reach the Port of Naples, to catch your ship to Palermo. You will spend the night on board (dinner not included).
Here you go, in the morning you will be in Sicily, reaching your Hotel in the center of Palermo! You will have the rest of the day at your disposal to start exploring the city, before dinner and overnight in the Hotel.
On the 6th day the trip to Sicily will start after breakfast, visiting Monreale and its magnificent Cathedral and Palatine Chapel. You will then enjoy your lunch in Hotel and the afternoon free for visits on your own: contact us if you would like to book an excursion to the Medieval Village of Erice.
The day is dedicated to discover the wonderful Greek side of Sicily: Segesta and its Doric Temple and Selinunte, but also Trapani and the nature reserve os Saline. You will have lunch in Selinunte, in a local farm with a sampling of sicilian olive oil.
After lunch you will visit Agrigento and the stunning Valley of the Temples! Dinner and night at hotel in Agrigento.
After breakfast your sicilian journey will continue to Piazza Armerina and the mosaics of "Villa Romana del Casale". The lunch will take place in a local restaurant and you will then head to Catania for having a desserts with a tasty selection of typical pastries.

If good wheather allows, on the ninth day you will have the chance to reach the top of the Mount Etna, where you will stop at "Rifugio Speranza" discovering the imponent beauty of the highest volcano of Italy. At the end of the excursion in the late morning, there will be a sampling of typical products in a local farm. The afternoon will be dedicated to visit the charming city of Taormina, where you will have some free time to be enchanted by the elegance and the breathtaking views from this place! In the evening you will come back to the Hotel in Catania.
After a rich breakfast at your Hotel you will leave for Siracusa, where you will take part to a guided tour of the Arena, the Greek Theatre and Latomia del Paradiso and Orecchio di Dioniso. The next stop on the route in the afternoon will be Noto and its Baroque Cathedral.
The route of this fantastic SIcilian journey will take you today to Messina, to enjoy a panoramic view on the Stretto; you will then head to Cefalù to have lunch in a local restaurant of this small fisheries village. After a visit to the Cathedral, you will have some free time for a walk. Dinner and overnight in Palermo.
