Day 1: Rome
You will reach the hotel in Rome independently, taking your time to explore the city and getting ready to the tour.
After reaching independently the Hotel for check-in, in the evening you will join a guided walking tour of the city center. Afterwards, free time for dinner and return on your own to the hotel.
Day 2: Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento
After breakfast in hotel, it's time to leave for the magic South of Italy. The first stop will be in Naples, where you will have the chance to enjoy a panoramic tour up to the Vomero, a district located on hilltop of the city: from there you will admire a breathtaking view on the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius.
The next stop will be Pompeii, where you will enjoy a lunch with Neapolitan pizza, before joining a guided tour of the ruins of Pompeii: accessing with skip the line tickets, you will learn everything about the ancient history of the archaelogical site, destroyed by the great Vesuvius eruption in 79 d.c.
The overnight will be in Hotel in Sorrento, with dinner included (dress code; jacket for men).
Day 3: Sorrento, Capri, Sorrento
After breakfast, get ready for an exciting excursion to the island of Capri: one of the most exclusive summer destinations of the Mediterranean! Depending on weather and sea conditions, you will admire the dreamy Blue Grotto on a small rowboat. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then roam the island at your own pace. Once back on the mainland, dinner and overnight in Hotel in Sorrento.
Day 4: Sorrento, Palermo (overnight on ferry boat)
After breakfast you will have some free time in Sorrento. In the afternoon, you will reach the Port of Naples, to catch your ship to Palermo. You will spend the night on board (dinner and breakfast not included).
Day 5: Palermo
Here you go, in the morning you will be in Sicily, reaching by transfer your Hotel in the center of Palermo! You will have the rest of the day at your disposal to start exploring the city, before dinner and overnight in the Hotel.
Day 6: Palermo, Monreale, Palermo
On the 6th day the trip to Sicily will start after breakfast, visiting Monreale and its magnificent Cathedral and Palatine Chapel. Then, you will return to Palermo for a walking tour of the main attractions, before enjoying free time in the late afternoon and return to your hotel for dinner. Overnight in Palermo.
Day 7: Palermo, Erice, Marsala, Agrigento
Early breakfast and departure to Erice, a medieval village stacked into the side of Monte San Giuliano. Many say that little has changed in the village since the sixth century, and its labyrinth-like twist of lanes is perfect for a cool and pleasant morning amble. We will then proceed to the famous salt road of Marsala, a picturesque lagoon made of islands that you can admire with a small boat tour in the Stagnone nature reserve, visiting the islands of Mozia, Isola Lunga, Isola di Scho, before stopping for lunch in a restaurant on the lagoon. After lunch you will then leave for Agrigento to visit the amazing Greek Temples of the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Dinner and overnight at hotel in Agrigento.
Day 8: Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Ragusa
After breakfast, the first stop is the beautiful town of Piazza Armerina, with a visit to the Villa Romana del Casale, where precious Roman mosaics are preserved. You will then move to Ragusa, to visit the charming old town, Ragusa Ibla, with its beautiful buildings and Baroque monuments. You will cross the Porta di San Giorgio, visit the Iblei Gardens and the churches of San Giuseppe and the Cathedral of San Giorgio. Arrival at the hotel in Ragusa, dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Ragusa - Noto - Siracusa- Taormina
Breakfast at the hotel and travel to Noto, a picturesque fishing town famous for its majestic Baroque architecture. Continue along the southern coast to Syracuse, on the southeastern tip of Sicily. Visit the "Archaeological Park of Neapolis", the famous archaeological area of Syracuse, home to a huge collection of Greek and Roman ruins from all over Sicily. After the visit, cross one of the bridges of the city for a visit to the island of Ortigia - the oldest part of Syracuse. Late afternoon arrival in Taormina, hotel accommodation and dinner.
Day 10: Taormina
If good wheather allows, on the ninth day you will have the chance to reach the top of the Mount Etna, Learn about volcanic activity and marvel at the old lava fields and black magma rock that comprises Etna's landscape. If weather permits, you have a chance to climb to the summit (1800 m). In the afternoon, return to Taormina, the beautiful and romantic town located on Mount Tauro and spend the rest of your day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Taormina
After breakfast, end of services.
