You’ll start your guided group tour of Naples city centre by meeting your guide and the rest of the group at Piazza del Gesú, one of the most famous squares in the historic centre of Naples.
Here you will admire the Church of Gesù Nuovo, one of the most peculiar of the city. From there, you’ll actually start your walk along the Spaccanapoli, the street that cuts in two most of the centre. Take in the food stalls and souvenir shops, before you’re deposited at the next square: San Domenico Maggiore. And this one is a really important part of the historic centre of Naples!
Discover the Veiled Christ
Hidden away in the square there is one of the most visited buildings in the historic centre of Naples: the San Severo Chapel. In here, there’s one of the most famous statues in the whole of Italy: Giuseppe Sanmartino’s Veiled Christ.
You may have to queue, as only 30 people are allowed in the chapel at one time. However, it’s well worth it and seeing the Veiled Christ is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this guided group tour of the centre of Naples! After that admire the Nilo statue and enjoy a good coffee break!
