Panoramic view of Florence and Accademy Gallery with the David by Michelangelo
After reaching on your own the centrally located meeting point, this full-day tour of Florence will depart from Piazzale Michelangelo, a splendid panoramic view of the entire city and the Arno valley. From 1st March 2019 this tour will also include a panoramic tour of Fiesole by fully-fitted GT coach, a small Etruscan-Roman village, from which you will enjoy an amazing view of Florence.
From there, you will move to the historic center of Florence and you will reach the Accademy Gallery, where you will be able to admire the David by Michelangelo in all its majesty. You will get a fast access to the gallery thanks to your skip-the-line tickets included. The tour continues with a stroll through the historic streets of the city to arrive in Duomo Square: from the outside you will learn the secrets of Giotto's Bell Tower and the famous Baptistery crowned with its golden bronze doors. This is also the location of the famed Porta del Paradiso. Last but not least, there is the breathtaking Cathedral itself, that you will admire from the outside.

Then you will have the opportunity to experience a true Tuscan lunch. Savor the delicious flavors of the local cuisine, and learn for yourself why Italian food is renowned the world over. After lunch, the tour is devoted to the heart of Florence, its historic centre and its wonderful squares and landmarks: it will start with a walking tour led by a local guide who will unveil every corner of the cradle of the Renaissance. From 1st March 2019, you will arrive in Piazza Santa Croce, where from the outside you will admire the stunning Basilica di Santa Croce standing in the namesake historic Square. Discover the famous Lungarno Torrigiani and then Piazza Santa Felicita, where you will have the possibility to visit Santa Felicita church (please note that on Sundays, public holidays and in case of religious celebrations, the access to the Church will not be possible; since admission is free, the refund will not be applied). Then you will reach Piazza della Signoria, the unique heart of the city's social life, to admire the imposing architecture of Palazzo Vecchio and the famous statues of Loggia de' Lanzi. Then, discover one of the symbols of Florence, the majestic Ponte Vecchio: learn about its incredible history and how it has been spared from the bombings during World War II.
Visit the famous Uffizi Gallery
After this amazing day, you will visit the the Uffizi Gallery (with skip the line tickets included), full to the brim with treasures of Renaissance art by all of the most famous Masters as Leonardo, Botticelli, Raphael, Michelangelo, Giotto. At the end of the guided tour, you can remain in the Uffizi Gallery until closing time.
