Super destination

Poggio dei medici is a well established course in a beautiful location just north of Florence and easy to find due to excellent signposting. The course is very scenic, quite hilly and has fabulous views. The greens are USPGA and much better than all but the best courses in the UK.There is some water on the course but it doesnot really come into play making it good to play for all abilities. The hotel was not busy and they offered us an upgrade to a junior suite with sitting room en terrace. it was large, nicely decorated, comfortable and very clean. The housekeeping lady was scrubbing the showercubicle on her knees. All the staff was very nice and helpful. breakfast was elaborate with fruits, juices and yoghurts, cheese, ham and salami and eggs can be ordered however you like them.As is common in italy there is a variety of cakes and croissants. There is a restaurant and a spa with turkish bath which we did not try.The practice area is beautiful with many covered bays in a sunny spot with views over the whole course. The nearby medieval town of Scarperia has nice restaurants of which we liked Anna Trend best, popular with locals.A short drive north is a large Outlet called Barberino which has Prada,Ralph Lauren,Cavalli you name it.Florence and Florence airport are nearby. A super destination for a golfbreak.

Great golf hotel

Went back into Poggio dei Medici for playing golf for a couple of days. Were there several times already because the hotel is perfect for golf. The check in was very quick although there was a group of people in front of us. The room ( Executive ) was big enough for a few days above all clean with plenty space for all togs. Also the balcony was very comfortable with nice views to the golf course. The golf course itself was in very good shape very green and well-kept. All the staff was great as usual. The hotel has really longstanding staff what is a good sign. Everybody did a good Job. The first time we did use a massage and it was great for a good value. For sure we come back for golf and would highly recommend.

Great Golf in Tuscany

Just back from a 4 night stay at the UNA Poggio Dei Medici golf resort just outside Florence. Great golf course in a beautiful surrounding , lovely rustic Tuscan accommodation overlooking the course detached from the main hotel however within a 2 minute walk from all amenities . Very good food and attentive staff making it a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Wonderful yoga studio

I spent a week in Florence recently and went to "It's Yoga Firenze" every day. The teachers are caring, insightful, and encouraging. The space is lovely, and very well located. The students are a nice mixture of Italians and expats. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Florence.

Beautiful experience, wonderful yoga!

I spent a week in Firenze mid-June and was so happy to find It's Yoga, Firenze! The space had a lovely welcoming feeling and the class we took was just right. Max, who taught the class, created a beautiful space with which to practice and gave made sure to teach in English as well as Italian. This is a true yoga home away from home! I will definitely return to take class when we are back in Italy.
