Small Group Tour of the Dolomites and Cortina from Venice
What is better for relaxing a little bit than a day immersed in nature? Our small group tour of Cortina and the Dolomites from Venice gives you the opportunity to spend a day in complete relaxation.
The Dolomites
This small group tour from Venice will take you around one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Italy, the Dolomites. The magnificence of the Dolomites is in the diversity of their scenery and landscapes: lakes, jagged peaks, distant glaciers, and panoramic views will leave you speechless. In addition to the nature and breathtaking views of the Dolomites, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the enchanting villages that cling to these mountainsides; it might seem that time itself has stopped in these idylic locations where everything speaks of tradition.
Cortina and Lavaredo
The tour of the Dolomites will take you to Cortina, a small town of 5000 inhabitants that will delight you with its narrow streets and spectacular views. From here you can marvel at the glaciers and snowy peaks of the mountains at the same time as you stroll through the streets and squares of this beautiful town. You will also visit the small town that was the birthplace of painter Tiziano Vecellio, better known as "Titan" and you can take a stroll on the Three Peaks of Lavaredo (standing at 2,360 meters above sea level) where you will enjoy sensational views. From here you can continue along a comfortable trail that passes under the peaks, allowing you to admire the nearby Sesto mountains as the valleys open up below you. (From 15 november and until the Tre cime di Lavaredo will re-open ( generally on the third week of May ), this tour will visit San Candido and Lake Braies instead of Tre cime di Lavaredo and Lake Misurina)
A Day of Relaxation
The colors of this incredible landscape around Cortina and the Dolomites will amaze you: the blue of the skies and lakes, the white of the glaciers and peaks, the green of the trees and meadows, and the brown of the mountain slopes, all alternating with the colors of the villages, will leave you moved and inspired. At the end of the day you will return to Venice, passing through more heavenly places made even more magical by the soft sunset light. The warm colors of the end of this tour of Cortina and the Dolomites will accompany you on the way back home.
