Wonderfully fun and informative!

We arrived in Rome just before this tour was to begin...there couples and three vintage Fiats. We were a bit late but they were waiting for us with open arms. Knowing that two people in our group had never been to Rome and that we would be having a private tour the next day, they took us to places out of the mainstream. The orange garden, The Roman Spa. War memorial. All with breathtaking views of the city at sunset. Plus the Fiats were so much fun. Our guides were wonderful even delivering us back to our apartment near the Vatican at the end. This was a family trip (son, daughter and their spouses) and this was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Cannot recommend highly enough. As they said if Mama (me) is happy everyone is happy! And I was very happy with this lovely way to get an overview of Rome.

See how ordinary Romans lived

The guide was punctual, well informed and interesting. We had a tour of part of the 3rd and 4th floors (ie all that was open) of the insula, and could appreciate what living conditions must have been like. It would have been useful if we had known the name of the company that was carrying out the tour, since that was how the guide was hoping to identify us.

Excellent tour of the Capitoline Museums

My tour leader was an art historian who really knew her stuff. She was a wonderful guide who explained in an easy to understand manner the history of Rome and the Capitoline Hill and its Museums. I learned about the architecture, the archeology and the art of the period.
