5 Days Piedmont gastronomic Tour with Self Drive activity

Day 1 - Pollenzo (Bra)

Arrival and check at Pollenzo, near Bra. Start feeling the magic of Piedmont and, for dinner, indulge at the hotel restaurant, dedicated serving products of the Slow Food Presidia of Piedmont. Overnight stay.

Day 2 - La Morra, Carmagnola

We suggest to depart for an exciting tour of the aromatic Barolo vineyards in the morning. Along the way, drop by the scenic viewpoint at La Morra for a breath-taking view of the rolling hills and its beautiful surrounding vineyards. Visit Elio Altare’s wine cellars and sample their excellent wines perfectly complemented by some of Langhe’s local produce. Head down to Carmagnola and visit the Agripiemonte farm where the Carmagnola Grey Rabbits (Slow Food Presidium) are raised. Overnight stay.

Day 3 - Barbaresco, Cherasco, Monforte d’Alba

Depart to Barbaresco for a tour of the renowned Marchesi di Grésy’s cellars, which boast several top-notch historical vineyards and a range of excellent wines. After a tasting session of Barbaresco wines, we suggest heading over to Cherasco to visit its old historical centre, stroll through the quaint little streets which house the traditional workshops producing the signature ‘Baci di Cherasco’ (dark chocolates with hazelnuts). After which, visit the Giovanni Manzone’s wine cellars at Monforte d’Alba where you will be introduced and have a sample tasting of his special wines complemented by local products. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 - Nizza Monferrato, Asti

Depart for Nizza Monferrato in the morning, which is situated deep in the core of Monferrato. This place is nicknamed as “a working man’s town”. The vineyards are lined on the edge of the city. Tour the city and stop for lunch at Trattoria Bun Ben Bon. After which, depart for Asti, the provincial capital of one of most famous wine regions of Italy. Make a stop at Torronificio Barbero for a sampling of delightful chocolate sweets and nougats. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5 - Pollenzo, Grinzane Cavour

Take a leisure tour of the city center of Pollenzo and visit the Banca del Vino Slow Food (Wine Bank) for a tasting session. Head to Grinzane Cavour in the afternoon for a visit to the Piedmont Regional Enoteca, nestled inside the Grinzane Cavour Castle. Indulge in some of the best Piedmont DOC and DOCG wines, especially those from Langa and Roero. Overnight stay.

Day 6 - Departure

The end of your tour is arrived, but the memories of these amazing days will stay with you forever! Depart from your hotel and head to your next destination in Italy.
