3-Days Slow Food excursion to discover Trentino Alto-Adige and its Food

Get ready to explore some of the most beautiful destinations in all of North Italy, in the region of Trentino-Alto Adige. This 3-days escorted tour will take you to discover the natural, historical and culinary treasures of this beautiful region.

Day 1: Cauria

Arrival and check-in at the guest-house, located in Cauria. After the check-in you'll enjoy some free time toexplore this picturesque town of Trentino, surrounded by mountains and forests.
In the historic centre of Cauria you can visit the Gothic church dedicated to St. Margaret, dating ack from the 13th century. Also, worth visiting is the small church of Mary Visitation, a short distance from the historic center. A traditional dinner will be served at the guest house restaurant, "Fichtenhof". Overnight at the guest house.

Day 2: Salorno

In the morning we recommend you to experience the nature of Trentino. Whether you prefer go mountain-biking or simply hiking, you can explore the Mount Corno nature park, which boasts many natural monuments that are worth visiting, such as the Horn of Truden or the lakes (Lake Black and Lake White). The long hiking footpath will take you to these "natural monuments".
You will also have the opportunity to visit the village of Salorno, which has been for centuries a symbolic boundary between Italy and Germany because of its location. In the afternoon, you'll visit the vineyard and cellars of the Haderburg winery, a former fruit-farm that produces grapes and apples, and make their own organic wine.
On the mountain side, resting on a pointed rock, stands the 13th century Salorno Castle, a magical place that inspired the Brothers Grimm. Near Salorno is the Hausmannhof, at an altitude of 400 meters, from where you will be able to admire from the hills, vineyards and valleys of Trentino.
At the end of the day, return to the guest house and overnight.

Day 3: Departure
