Day 1: Catania
Arrive independently to the hotel in the charming city of Catania (contact us for an optional private transfer from the airport). In the evening you will meet your tour-leader and your travel companions. Dinner on your own and overnight in hotel.
Day 2: Syracuse - Noto
After breakfast at the hotel, the tour will officially kick off with a trip to Syracuse which has been labeled the most beautiful Greek colony in Sicily. You will visit places like the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, the Roman Amphitheatre and the Ear of Dyonisus. An unmissable stop will be the famous Ortigia Island,which is located right in the historical centre of Syracuse, dominated by a majestic Cathedral. After free time for lunch (NOT included), you will continue the journey to Noto which is widely known for magnificent buildings in baroque style. At Noto, you will get to visit Palazzo Nicolaci Villadorata, a beautiful noble residence in Baroque style. You will then be transported to Ragusa for dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Ragusa - Modica - Piazza Armerina
After breakfast, the day will begin with a visit of will begin with a visit of Ragusa Ibla, one of the most beautiful baroque towns on the island and an UNESCO site, hosting more than 50 churches and a lot of baroque architecture. The next stop will be the enchanting city of Modica, UNESCO heritage site, where, after a stroll around the city centre you will first visit one of the most famous chocolate factory of the town and then the majestic Palazzo Castro Polara Grimaldi. After the visit, you will enjoy a tasting of locla products. A breath-taking panorama will be the setting of your relaxing lunch!In the evening, you go towards Piazza Armerina, a nice charming village, where you will have a tour inside the Villa Romana del Casale, world famous for its impressive Roman mosaics. Transfer to Agrigento for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Agrigento - Marsala - Salt Road
After breakfast, our eXPerience will continue with Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples area, the ruins of ancient Akragas. After that, join a visit of Marsala where you will visit a famous wine cellar (wine tasting and lunch will be included) and then a trip along the Marsala Salt Road, admiring the salt mines and windmills, and the Stagnone Island. Transfer to Palermo for dinner (on your own) and accommodation in hotel.
Day 5: Monreale - Palermo
After breakfast, start with a visit to Monreale and its majestic Arabic-Norman Cathedral. Move back to Palermo to explore its huge cultural and artistic heritage, by visiting the main attractions of the city centre, including the Cathedral, the delightful Capella Palatina and Martorana Church. Have also a stop in a local street food place for a delicious food surprise! You will have a stop to enjoy a typical lunch with local food. Afterwards, you will continue exploring the city, before returning to hotel in Palermo for dinner on your own and overnight.
Day 6: Palermo - Favignana*
From this day the tour leader will not travel with you anymore. After breakfast, a private transfer will take you to Trapani where you will board the hydrofoil for a trip to Favignana, the biggest of Aegadian islands. Free time, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Favignana boat excursion*
After breakfast, wheather and sea conditions permitting, the day will start with the departure from Favignana harbour, for a relaxing circumnavigation of the island in group excursion. First stop of this group tour by boat will be in Cala Rossa, whose cliff is characterized by wonderful tuff caves surrounded by blue and crystalline waters. Later you will get to Cala Azzurra, famous for its sandy white beach and the most crystalline sea of the island. Join a typical lunch on board and then departure for Cala Rotonda for a swim. Return to Favignana, dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 8: Favignana*
After breakfast, join your free day in Favignana. Take advantage of your free time to discover this beautiful island. Do not miss the chance to have a swim in one of the splendid sea coves or, as an alternative, choose an extra boat excursion to Levanzo. Dinner and overnight in Favignana.
Day 9: Favignana - Trapani*
After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel as you proceed to the port by private transfer, to take to hydrofoil to Trapani. After the check in at the hotel, take advantage of your free time to explore the amazing attractions of the city kwnow as the "City of 100 Churches". Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Trapani.
Day 10: Trapani
After breakfast, end of the tour (contact us for an optional private transfer to the airport).
