Walking Tour in the Centre of Rome

The best way to experience Roma is through this splendid walking tour that, in the company of a professional guide, you will lead to the discovery of churches, monuments and attractions that not everyone knows.

Visit Campo de 'Fiori and Piazza Farnese

Start your tour by visiting the famous Campo de' Fiori, site of a famous open market, and enhanced by the statue of Giordano Bruno in the very center. Continue the path to the impressive sight of Palazzo Farnese, which gives its name to Piazza Farnese.
Not far away, we will find Palazzo Spada, and admire the beautiful perspective created by Borromini. thanks to which a series of columns and the floor create the illusion of a long tunnel of 37 meters.

Discover Piazza Navona and the Pantheon

Continue the tour, always accompanied by a professional guide, admiring Piazza Navona, definitely one of the most famous in the world, at whose center you will find the Fountain of the Four Rivers, a famous work by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, together with the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone , opera built instead by Borromini.
Once admired these works, you will be accompanied to the Piazza della Rotonda, where you can get inside the splendid Pantheon, the building that is a symbol of ancient Rome, beautifully preserved and a true masterpiece of the time.

Admire the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps

Continue the tour reaching Piazza Colonna, whose name is due to the huge second century column built to celebrate the victories of Marcus Aurelius over the Germanic population. Here you will find Palazzo Chigi, seat of the Italian government.
We will then cross the Via del Corso, and after a short walk, you can admire the Trevi Fountain, recently renovated and one of Rome symbols. You will end this tour reaching Piazza di Spagna, famous for its stairway and embellished by the Fountain of Barcacccia realised by Pietro Benini, father of Gian Lorenzo. Surrounded by international brands' boutiques, you will continue to explore this area after the end of the tour.

Walking Tour of Rome

Despite a shaky start to the day and not being collected at our hotel as we expected a staff member arrived and put us in a taxi and we made it to the start of the of the 3 hour walking tour just in time. A small group made the tour even better. The tour guide was fantastic. Easy to hear, understand and had a great sense of humour. To walk around a corner and suddenly be confronted by the awesome sight of the Pantheon totally unexpected was well planned and executed by the guide. Highly recommend this tour. Great way to get your bearings for further exploring

Discovering Rome Elite Walking Tour

As it was the off season, this would be a small group...turned out very small as the others didn't show (their loss and our gain). We took a very leisurely stroll for the next few hours moving through the city having the history and especially the architectural differences explained and pointed out, visiting markets, San Luigi dei Francesi (church) and of course, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps just to name some of the highlights. The tour was just marvellous and gave us amazing details and wonderful insights into this city we otherwise would have missed. It also made what I had read in the past come to life. This opened our eyes from the previous day when we had simply been walking the city streets. It also gave the following days tours that 'something' more. If you can, do this tour before the major ones.

Guided walking tour of Colosseo, Palentine Hill and Forum

Our time in Rome was extremely limited and so opting for a guided walking tour was the best thing we could have done! This 3+ hour walking tour allowed us to avoid the long queues as well as gave us an informative and interesting afternoon at these three venues! Our guide was really knowledgeable, and also sensitive to the needs of the group (with small rests where necessary etc!) - we got the most out of these places, with the historic aspects more than ably covered by the guide, plus opportunities for questions and discussion at our leisure! Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to view these amazing places with a local guide!

Imperial Rome Tour was Amazing

We found the tour to be very fulfilling. It is a walking tour and the guide spoke good English and I loved how we all had our own little ear pieces so the guide would talk in the microphone and we could hear him no matter where we were standing in the group. This is a great way to skip the lines to the coliseum and learn some history while walking around and taking in all the beautiful sights.
