Outdoors trip: Private excursion of Itria Valley by e-bike

Join us for this private tour by e-bike for a day of discovering the magic Itria Valley. Cisternino, Locorotondo, or Martina Franca are a few of the places we will visit on this journey of culture, architecture, art and history. Enjoy tastings and viewings of special places in these wonderful cities.

Architecture and trulli

We will meet in Martina Franca, and after that, you will enjoy a guided tour of Martina, where you will be able to admire the Baroque architectural style, as well as medieval architecture in squares, churches, and palaces, such as Palazzo Ducale or Basilica di San Martino. The next stop is Alberobello, where you will also take part in a guided tour. Alberobello is a special place that was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996, with monuments like Sovereign Trullo, Minor Basilica of Saints Cosmas and Damian, Church of St. Anthony, or Monti and Aia Piccola.

Lunch in a masseria and Locorotondo

Lunch will be enjoyed in Masseria, where you will be served with traditional products like local cheese made with authentic ingredients. Puglia’s cuisine used to be considered poor, but now traditional dishes like focaccia, caciocavallo, salami, vegetables, bagels, and seasonal cheeses are all considered delicacies of Puglia that are enjoyed by everyone who visits. After lunch, the tour will move on to Locorotondo, where you will admire the city during a guided tour that will present the beauties of this place, including its famous historical center, which is circular. A major attraction is the Old Town with its traditional “cummerse” houses that have roofs covered by “chiancarelle”.

Wine tasting

After Locorotondo, we will make our way to the winery, where you will learn all about the grape lifecycle and fermentation, and wine production in the guided tour. You will also be offered a taste of local products and wine. Finally, the tour ends in the winery, and it’s time to return to Martina Franca
