The transfer from the port of Civitavecchia to Rome city center lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We recomend departing from the port as soon as possible, ideally between 7am and 10am, so that you'll have enough time to enjoy your tour and be back at the port in time for the departure.
The driver will meet you directly at the port and will be at disposal a total of 8 hours. Communicate your expected time of arrival and the name of your ship, so to better organize the meeting point.
You will meet your private guide directly in Colosseum area, in order to join a 3-hour guided walking tour of Colosseum and Romanum Forum. Backbags, trolleys and big bags are no allowed inside the Colosseum for security reasons.

It's hard to grasp the history that went on here.
We were met at the pier by a very interesting driver who showed us a lot of the highlights of Rome. At the Colosseum we had a private guide who was very knowledgeable. We used Italy XP for 4 private excursions for our group of 8. Each time they sent a confirmation text the day prior. We were very satisfied.
