Join our remarkable 6-hour private tour in two of the five fishing villages by the beautiful Cinque Terre coast, Manarola and Vernazza. We will stop at Manarola vineyards first, where we will taste typical Cinque Terre wines accompanied by some traditionally made local delicacies.
On this special day, you will be visiting the two iconic villages of Cinque Terre, Manarola and Vernazza. Five small colored fishing villages carved out of the rocky hillsides above the Mediterranean Sea, these are The Cinque Terre, near La Spezia. Connected only by paths, boats or trains these lands haven’t changed their traditional architecture and are as they were in past times. They are far away from the traffic and the stressful congestion of cities
In Cinque Terre, the Mediterranean trees and plants grow spontaneously representing one of the best preserved natural areas of the Mediterranean, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1997. Tasting the Cinque Terre wine is something not to be missed. We think the wine in this area speaks about The Cinque Terre and the local people who hardly work this land from centuries with passion and fondness.
We will be visiting one of the two iconic villages of Cinque Terre. Our knowledgeable local guide will lead you through the tiny square and side alleys of the village and you will come across the famous terraced vineyards of Manarola. You’ll be welcomed by a local producer who will show you his amazing terraced vineyards that overlooks the sea, protected by UNESCO. As you hear the unique history of Manarola wine, how it is produced, you’ll have the possibility to taste the typical specialties handmade wine. After visiting the vineyards you will taste the typical Cinque Terre wines, paired with some local traditional recipes (for example salted anchovies, vegetable cake, focaccia, pesto sauce).
After our delicious wine tasting, we will embark towards the other iconic village, the picturesque Vernazza. It is the only Cinque Terre harbour and it still functions as a fishing village. The beautiful side cliffs with the 16th century Belforte Tower are Vernezza’s landmark. Known to possess romantic walkways that reach unto the capuchin cloister is the Sentierro Azzuro passing by a 13th-century shrine Nostra Signora di Reggio.
